WhisperKOOL Quantum Twin SS24000 Wine Cellar Cooling System
The highest-capacity WhisperKOOL split system — a dual-evaporator ducted configuration with two Quantum evaporators and remotely mounted, high-efficiency condensers for balanced, redundant cooling of the largest cellars.
Quantum Twin SS24000 Key Features & Benefits
Top-of-Range Dual System
The Quantum Twin SS24000 pairs two 12000-class Quantum evaporators (24,000-class combined capacity) for the largest wine cellars — the highest capacity in the WhisperKOOL split lineup.
Advanced 220V High-Efficiency Condensers
The 220V high-efficiency condensers hold a 55°F cellar even in the most demanding mechanical rooms, with an engineered ambient operating range of -20°F to 120°F.
Fully Ducted, Concealed Design
Each evaporator installs up to 25 duct feet from the cellar and is ducted in through 14" supply and return ducts, so no equipment is visible in your wine room.
Built-In Redundancy
With two independent systems, your cellar keeps cooling even if one unit needs service — essential protection for a large, valuable collection.
Precise Digital Control
Advanced digital displays (50-ft cables) work with liquid-temperature-measuring bottle probes, so the thermostats read the true temperature of your wine rather than the air.

Where It Fits in the Range
The Quantum Twin SS24000 is the highest-capacity system WhisperKOOL offers, using two 12000-class Quantum evaporators. For very large cellars a step down, the Quantum Twin SS18000 pairs two 9000-class systems. Because every large cellar is unique, always confirm sizing with a heat-load calculation before ordering.
A Note on Sizing
The cellar-size rating assumes a fully insulated room with a complete vapor barrier. Design factors such as glass walls, stone or concrete, high ambient temperatures, frequent door openings, or in-cellar lighting can increase the cooling load. When in doubt, choose the next capacity up — an undersized unit can run continuously, fail to reach temperature, and is not covered under warranty. We're happy to help you run the numbers.
Installation & Setup
Professional installation required: WhisperKOOL split systems must be installed by a qualified, licensed HVAC/R technician. Installation by anyone else will void the warranty.
Pre-Installation Requirements
- Fully insulated cellar with a complete vapor barrier
- Evaporators: dedicated 120V, 15-amp circuits
- Condensers: dedicated 220V, 15-amp circuits
- 14" supply / 14" return duct runs planned for each evaporator (up to 25 ft each)
- Line sets sized per run length (not included)
Placement & Distances
- Each evaporator ducted up to 25 duct ft from the cellar
- Each condenser up to 100 line ft from its evaporator
- Condensers can sit in a mechanical room, basement, garage, or rooftop
- Provide clear airflow around each condenser
- Route 3/4" drain lines from the evaporator bases
Cellar Design Best Practices
- Maintain consistent insulation and seal all air leaks
- Install a properly weatherstripped cellar door
- Complete the vapor barrier on the warm side of the insulation
- Plan duct routing for even coverage of a very large room
Maintenance
- Keep condenser coils clean and clear of debris
- Check the digital controllers and bottle probes periodically
- Inspect the drain lines for free flow
- Schedule an annual professional inspection
