WhisperKOOL SC Pro 8000 Self-Contained Wine Cellar Cooling System
The largest SC Pro — a through-the-wall, self-contained system for cellars up to 2,000 cu. ft. with advanced blower technology and condensate management.
SC Pro 8000 Key Features & Benefits
Advanced Blower Technology
The SC Pro 8000 uses a revamped centrifugal blower system that delivers strong, direct airflow while operating at exceptionally quiet levels, distributing conditioned air evenly across a large cellar.
Smart Condensate Management
An advanced condensate evaporator processes condensate to make the drain line an added safeguard rather than a strict requirement, simplifying installation.
Digital Temperature Control
An advanced digital controller with a liquid-temperature bottle probe reflects the true temperature of your wine and prevents damaging fluctuations.
Advanced System Protection
Built-in protection with intelligent alarms alerts you when parameters aren't met, helping prevent premature failure.
Coated Evaporator Coil
An enhanced coil coating adds corrosion protection and extends system life while maintaining efficient heat transfer.
Flexible Power Options
Power can be supplied from the front or rear of the unit, and it runs on a standard 115V circuit.

Where It Fits in the Range
The SC Pro self-contained line spans 300 cu. ft. (2000), 650 cu. ft. (3000), 1,000 cu. ft. (4000), and 2,000 cu. ft. (8000). The SC Pro 8000 is the largest, suited to large residential and commercial applications. Confirm sizing with a heat-load calculation before ordering.
A Note on Sizing
The cellar-size rating assumes a fully insulated room with a complete vapor barrier. Design factors such as glass walls, stone or concrete, high ambient temperatures, frequent door openings, or in-cellar lighting can increase the cooling load. When in doubt, choose the next capacity up — an undersized unit can run continuously, fail to reach temperature, and is not covered under warranty. We're happy to help you run the numbers.
Installation & Setup
The SC Pro 8000 is a self-contained, through-the-wall unit — one piece, no separate condenser. Plan the wall opening, a dedicated circuit, and exhaust-side ventilation before installation.
Pre-Installation Requirements
- Fully insulated cellar with a complete vapor barrier (min. R-19)
- Dedicated 115V circuit
- Through-the-wall opening sized for the unit
- Adequate ventilation on the condenser/exhaust side
- Drain line optional with the condensate management system
Installation Process
- Mark and cut the through-the-wall opening
- Mount and secure the unit
- Connect electrical power (front or rear)
- Install a drain line if desired
- Test operation and temperature settings
Cellar Design Best Practices
- Maintain consistent insulation and seal all air leaks
- Complete the vapor barrier on the warm side of the insulation
- Install a properly weatherstripped cellar door
- Plan rack layout for good air circulation
Maintenance
- Clean condenser coils quarterly
- Check digital controller readings monthly
- Inspect drain line and bottle probe periodically
- Schedule an annual professional inspection
